Fully insulated, waterproof female quick disconnect for 16-14 AWG stranded copper wire. The heat shrink covers the whole 0.250" receptacle as well as the crimp, so no bare metal is exposed once it is plugged onto a tab. The adhesive-lined heat shrink sleeve melts and seals around the wire insulation when heated, blocking moisture, salt and road spray from reaching the crimp. Made in USA.

Use it for: general-purpose automotive, trailer, marine and equipment wiring — lighting, horns, fans and accessory circuits on boats, trailers, truck and off-road wiring, outdoor lighting and anywhere a connection sees water, washdown or vibration, especially where the terminal sits close to other connections or grounded metal.

Choose something else if: you are working dry and indoors — a nylon fully insulated disconnect crimps faster and needs no heat gun. Install with a ratcheting crimper, then heat until the adhesive shows at the ends.
