Calculate the correct wire gauge for your electrical project
Selecting the correct wire gauge is critical for electrical safety and efficiency. Wire that's too small can overheat, cause voltage drop, and create fire hazards. Wire that's too large is unnecessarily expensive and difficult to work with.
System Voltage: Select your system voltage (12V for automotive, 120V for residential, etc.)
Load Current: Enter the amperage of your device or circuit
Wire Length: Enter the ONE-WAY distance from power source to load
Voltage Drop: Select your acceptable voltage drop percentage (3% is standard)
